LiAngelo Ball isn’t backing down from his rap aspirations, and now, he’s stirring the pot by claiming he’s lyrically superior to Dipset icon Cam’ron. The former basketball star-turned-rapper made the bold statement during a recent interview with Complex, where he addressed the ongoing back-and-forth between him and the Harlem legend.
Despite having just one track to his name… the early 2000s-inspired viral hit Tweaker… Ball exudes confidence in his lyrical ability.
“I think I rap colder than him,” he declared. “I’m already colder than them n***as on the court, so why not in the booth too? I knew people were gonna doubt me, but I’m just staying cool about it.”
Acknowledging Cam’s legendary status, Ball clarified that his comments weren’t meant to be disrespectful. “Other people might not agree… that’s their legend. I’m not here to downplay him. But when it comes to my music, I feel like I’m right up there.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Ball hinted at a high-profile remix of Tweaker, which has been gaining traction online. With big names potentially jumping on the track, this feud could take an even bigger turn.
Is LiAngelo Ball serious about taking over the rap game, or is he biting off more than he can chew?
