In a recent episode of the popular podcast Drink Champs, Kodak Black didn’t hold back when discussing his grievances with fellow artists T.I. and Big Boi. According to Kodak, these two influential figures in the music industry attempted to have him removed from Atlantic Records, a claim that he vehemently expressed during the interview.
The conversation took an unexpected turn when the hosts asked Kodak to choose between two legendary Southern rap duos, UGK and OutKast. In response, Kodak made it clear that he wanted Big Boi to be excluded from the discussion. He stated, “Exclude him,” he said. “That f**k n***a tried to get me kicked off the label. He tried to get me kicked off Atlantic — him and T.I. B**ch-a**.”
Kodak Black went on to provide some personal context to the situation, saying, “I ain’t gon’ lie, when I was a young n***a right, I used to always say like how T.I. looked on the ATL movie and sh*t, I used to always say Big Boi look like T.I. Like, a little bit of T.I., then you get the C-Murder and sh*t.”
In a display of lyrical prowess, Kodak even incorporated the alleged conspiracy against him into a freestyle, showcasing his frustration with the industry heavyweights.
These bold claims by Kodak Black have certainly sparked curiosity within the hip-hop community, with many wondering about the backstory and potential repercussions of these allegations. It remains to be seen how T.I. and Big Boi will respond to these accusations, but for now, it’s clear that Kodak Black is unafraid to address his grievances head-on.
