In a touching tribute, the Los Angeles Lakers unveiled the second of three statues dedicated to Kobe Bryant, this time honoring him alongside his beloved daughter, Gianna.
The statue was revealed outside Crypto.com Arena on Friday, capturing the iconic moment of Kobe and Gianna sitting courtside during a Lakers game in December 2019.
Photos of the statue surfaced on social media, showcasing a beautifully crafted sculpture surrounded by a vibrant arrangement of Purple and Gold flowers.
The base of the monument features a heartfelt plaque with a quote from Kobe, expressing his pride in Gianna and his love for being a “girl dad.”
The plaque reads:
“Gianna is a beast, and she’s better than I was at her age. She’s got it. Girls are amazing. I would have five more if I could. I’m a girl dad.”
