In recent news, King Harris, the son of rapper T.I., has sparked controversy for his involvement in the “One Chip Challenge” alongside a homeless man. This social media trend revolves around consuming an extremely spicy tortilla chip, which was temporarily pulled from store shelves following the tragic death of a Massachusetts teenager.
Unfortunately, the homeless man misunderstood the challenge’s rules and instinctively reached for a bottle of water after consuming the fiery chip. Despite his evident struggle with the intense heat, he decided to soldier on with the challenge while Harris and his friends documented the event, often sharing laughter at the man’s discomfort.
In response to the man’s attempt to cool his burning palate with water, King Harris commented, “It make it harder with that water in ya hand,” King Harris said to the man. “You gone’ lose if you drink it.”
The homeless man eventually gave in to his thirst and drank the water, resulting in Harris and his friends declaring themselves victorious. As a gesture of consolation, the 19-year-old rapper handed the man a $20 prize. However, King Harris faced substantial criticism from his fans on his recent Instagram posts due to his actions.
One comment read, “HUMILIATING THAT HOMELESS MAN THE WAY YOU DID WAS DISGUSTING,” while another commenter added, “One of these days, you’re going to get what you deserve.”
Furthermore, some individuals expressed concern that King Harris could potentially face legal consequences for his involvement in the “One Chip Challenge.” One person stated, “Why did you treat that homeless man like that? Forcing him to eat that spicy chip without allowing him to drink water for just $50. It’s all fun and games until the authorities arrest you for potentially harming someone with a deadly chip.”
The family of Harris Wolobah from Massachusetts holds the “One Chip Challenge” partially responsible for his tragic death. According to AP Reports, police found Wolohab “unresponsive and not breathing” after responding to a call at his home on September 1. It is believed that the teen had participated in the challenge at school and later passed out at home.
