Kid Cudi has recently responded to speculations surrounding a viral photo that depicted a massive emoji keyboard tattoo on his stomach. The image began circulating with the rapper’s name attached to it, causing quite a stir on social media.
After several hours of widespread discussion, Kid Cudi decided to address the matter directly and put an end to the rumor mill with a concise tweet. He clarified, “This is not me, lame,” in a retweet, dispelling any misconceptions about the tattoo.
In reality, Kid Cudi did acquire a new tattoo, but it is located on his back. The tattoo features the KAWS-designed Moon Man cartoon, which was prominently displayed on the cover of his 2022 Man on the Moon trilogy box set.
The rapper introduced his new ink to the public by sharing pictures of a miniature figurine of himself in June. Accompanying the images, he teased, “Working on something special for you guys… This is a unique test of some figurines I am creating. I have various other poses and outfits. When I first saw this, I was astonished by the incredible level of detail. It truly blew my mind. Stay tuned for more information. You might even catch me at ComicCon [shhh emoji].”
Kid Cudi concluded his statement by confirming the authenticity of his back tattoo, which he had for several months. He shared, “P.S. Yes, that is my actual back tattoo. I’ve had it for months now. This is just a sneak peek.”
