Joe Budden isn’t having it when it comes to rumors tying him to Diddy’s alleged scandalous “freak off” tapes. The podcast host and former rapper has made it abundantly clear—he won’t be seen on any of these tapes, should they ever surface.
This comes in the wake of shocking allegations surrounding Diddy, who was recently arrested. Federal prosecutors in New York have charged the music mogul with running disturbing “freak off” parties, where women were reportedly coerced into sexual acts with male prostitutes for Diddy’s own pleasure.
The three-count indictment accuses Diddy of using drugs, threats, violence, and blackmail to force women into these situations. Even more shocking are claims that Diddy recorded these sessions and would later watch and masturbate to them.
During this controversial period, Budden was seen attending a few of Diddy’s parties, which sparked rumors suggesting he might have been involved in these wild events.
The gossip grew louder after Budden left for a vacation on the same day Diddy was arrested, causing some to speculate that he was “fleeing” to avoid getting caught up in the legal drama.
However, Budden used his popular podcast, The Joe Budden Podcast, to shut down the speculation. While reflecting on his brief professional relationship with Diddy, which began in 2018 when Budden hosted REVOLT TV’s now-canceled State of the Culture, Budden laughed off the idea that he would have insider knowledge about Diddy’s federal troubles. He also firmly denied any connection to the tapes.
“For the last time, can y’all take me off the list of names y’all think are on these tapes?” Budden demanded during the podcast. “Why are y’all so hell-bent on putting people on these tapes? I ran the jokes long, but I thought it was a joke because of who I am.”
He added, “Clearly, there’s a new crop of people that don’t know who I be, so they’re like, ‘Oh, he might be that.’ I ain’t. No more jokes. Even though I was a force in that world for like three weeks. They were ready to trick. They were offering vacays and shopping without an ounce of flirting.”
Joe Budden wants the record set straight—he’s not involved in Diddy’s alleged “freak off” world, and he’s not interested in being dragged into the rumors either.
