Joe Budden, in a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, shared his honest views about Jay-Z’s “The Book of HOV” exhibition. While the Hip Hop community is enthusiastic about the tribute, Joe Budden expressed that he personally has no interest in checking it out.
During the podcast, Budden openly wondered when he should explore the exhibition but admitted he was not particularly keen on going. He mentioned having seen the lyrics on the front of the museum and recognized a song, but it didn’t entice him enough to attend.
When his co-hosts tried to persuade him by highlighting the rare items on display, Joe Budden stood firm, recalling his past experiences at Baseline Studios and his work with Just Blaze, who produced his breakout hit “Pump It Up” in 2003.
Budden further critiqued the exhibition’s “zones,” questioning the location of Hov’s master recordings and noting that Jay-Z himself didn’t seem enthusiastic about the event.
“The Book of HOV” opened to the public on July 14, featuring a multimedia exhibition that includes thousands of archived objects such as original recording masters, unseen photos, iconic stage wear, awards, videos, and artifacts from every aspect of Jay-Z’s professional life, according to the exhibition’s website.
