In a shocking turn of events, DJ Envy of The Breakfast Club has found himself entangled in an alleged real estate con, drawing the attention of rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden. Addressing the scandal on a recent episode of his highly popular show, Budden shed light on the controversy surrounding DJ Envy’s association with real estate investor Cesar Piña.
Reports indicate that DJ Envy collaborated with Piña to conduct educational seminars centered around the real estate business. However, dismayed clients have come forward, accusing Piña of defrauding them of millions of dollars.
During a conversation with Tony “The Closer” Robinson, DJ Envy responded to the accusations, stating, “But did I say, ‘There, take this money and give it to this person or do this with this money?’ I never did. “If you ever came to my seminar, I tell everybody, ‘Everybody on this stage, whether it’s credit, prepare, or it’s a conventional lender, do your homework because I don’t trust anybody.’ If you’ve been to my seminars, I say that a million times.”
The Power 105.1 representative further emphasized the importance of due diligence and skepticism in the industry, expressing his lack of trust in anyone. He asserted that he consistently conveyed this message during his seminars, urging attendees to conduct thorough research before making any investment decisions.
Nevertheless, Joe Budden remained unconvinced by DJ Envy’s response, refusing to grant him absolution. On an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast titled “Pizza Pizza,” Budden played archived clips of Envy discussing investment opportunities. In one such clip, Envy recounted his early experiences with real estate and mentioned his interactions with DJ Clue, Fabolous, and Joe Budden himself. Envy shared that when he initially delved into real estate, Joe Budden had cautioned him, claiming it sounded like a scam. Budden’s warning indicated that he foresaw potential issues with DJ Envy’s real estate proposal.
Taking the discussion further, Joe Budden and his co-hosts, including QueenzFlip, delved into the accusations surrounding Cesar Piña and DJ Envy’s alleged involvement in a fraudulent scheme. Budden explicitly criticized Envy for associating himself with Piña, suggesting that he should have been more discerning about the situation. He challenged DJ Envy to address the matter directly, demanding that he produce Piña and confront the allegations head-on.
“Please, you knew something was fishy,” argued Budden about DJ Envy’s connection to Cesar Piña. “That little fat n**** ain’t been around in about a year and a half. Envy ain’t stood next to that n***** in about eighteen months. We ain’t seen a course, we ain’t seen an advertisement or commercial. These n***** know when the heat is on the way.”
Joe Budden concluded his passionate commentary by urging DJ Envy to bring Cesar Piña forward for scrutiny, insisting on a swift resolution to the matter. He called for Piña’s presence and challenged him to face the public, stating, “Produce that little fat f***. Get him out here. Where he at? When can get to the bottom of this fast? You n**** been all around Hudson County, Essex County, every New Jersey county. Get that little f**** to the front row and say, ‘Aye, Cesar – pizza, pizza – let’s get to it.’”
By skillfully addressing the controversy surrounding DJ Envy’s alleged involvement in a real estate scandal, Joe Budden’s comments shed light on the situation while demanding accountability.
