Jelly Roll’s criminal history is causing complications for his international tour plans. The country singer recently opened up about these struggles in an interview with Jon Bon Jovi for Interview Magazine.
He revealed that while fans abroad are eager to see him, his past felonies are creating obstacles.
Jelly Roll shared, “America has finally granted me a passport, but some countries still won’t allow me entry because of my criminal record. We’re working on resolving this.”
Despite these setbacks, Jelly Roll remains hopeful. He mentioned that his father didn’t travel outside the southeastern U.S. until his 50s, suggesting he has plenty of time to see the world.
The singer has been open about his troubled past, which includes approximately 40 arrests for drug-related offenses and a stint in jail at 16 for aggravated robbery.
Despite these challenges, the country singer remains committed to his music and personal growth.
