In a remarkable addition to Jay-Z’s acclaimed “Book of HOV” exhibit, a ’90s Lexus reminiscent of the one featured in his iconic music video and lyrical masterpieces has taken center stage.
This announcement, made on September 14th, marks the debut of Jigga’s legendary “off-white Lexus” installation at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Location. The unveiling came with an official press statement from Roc Nation and Lexus, signaling the start of an exciting collaboration.
The focal point of this exhibit is the 1993 Lexus GS 300, an iconic vehicle that first graced screens in Jay-Z’s unforgettable “Dead Presidents” visual. It subsequently became a lyrical reference in tracks like “Can I Live” and the chart-topping hit, “Empire State Of Mind.”
Situated alongside the Central Library on Eastern Parkway, this Lexus serves as the inaugural addition to The Book Of HOV’s expanding collection of artifacts.
Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, expressed her enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating, “We’re excited to partner with Lexus to bring Jay-Z’s iconic ‘Off-White Lexus’ to The Book of HOV.
The new installation adds another element of Jay-Z’s career to the exhibit that visitors can enjoy. The response to The Book Of HOV has been overwhelming, so we’re excited to extend the exhibit to December to ensure new and returning attendees can have enough opportunities to fully immerse themselves into the experience.”
