Jacquees Arrested For Battery And Obstruction Of Law Enforcement

Jacquees, a popular singer, was recently taken into custody for charges of simple battery and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers. The incident occurred at a bar near the Mall of Georgia, where he allegedly bit a female employee and attempted to escape in a Ferrari. According to witnesses, the police were alerted to the situation at the Local Tap bar around 11:30 PM last Thursday. Complaints were made about the singer’s disruptive behavior, characterized as “loud and boisterous.” The victim of the battery informed the authorities that Jacquees had choked her and bitten her hand. It remains uncertain whether the two individuals had any prior acquaintance.

Eventually, law enforcement located Jacquees at a nearby parking lot. He resisted arrest and fled the scene. The arresting officer noted in their statement, “The defendant did not obey my command and instead kept driving the vehicle at a low rate of speed with heavy traffic still northbound on Ocean Drive. He was then asked again to pull over and to provide me with his driver’s license. The defendant once again refused to obey a lawful command from this officer.”

The statement further detailed, “Additional officers had to be requested in emergency mode due to the large crowd gathering and the defendant still not complying,” the statement continued. “It should be noted that the defendant’s actions disrupted the peace and quiet and public morals of bystanders on a busy spring break day on ocean drive in Miami Beach.”

Following his booking, Jacquees’ mugshot quickly gained traction on various social media platforms. He managed to secure his release from jail by posting a bond of $3,700. Notably, Jacquees was nominated for the Best Male R&B Artist category at the 2020 BET Awards. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Lil Baby, Young Thug, and Future.
