Ice Cube has had a remarkable journey in the world of hip-hop, known by various monikers over the years, from “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” to the one you “love to hate” and even the pioneer who “started this gangsta sh*t.” However, there’s one title that Ice Cube vehemently rejects – the G.O.A.T.
The iconic West Coast rap artist and co-founder of BIG3 recently expressed his sentiments on being hailed as the Greatest Of All Time on X, the popular social media platform formerly known as Twitter. On a Saturday, September 30th, Ice Cube took to the platform to set the record straight: “For those who thinks it flatters me, please don’t call me a fucking goat. Carry-on.” he emphatically stated.
Several hours later, he followed up with another tweet: “Don’t get me wrong.I appreciate the respect but don’t call me that.” As of the latest update, Ice Cube has not provided further details regarding his disavowal of this title. However, his reluctance to embrace the G.O.A.T. label has not deterred him from acknowledging and applauding other rappers as deserving of such accolades.
Don’t get me wrong.

Ice Cube’s decision to reject the G.O.A.T. title reflects his humility and preference to let his work speak for itself. While he remains an influential figure in the hip-hop community, he’s unwilling to rest on the laurels of this prestigious designation. Instead, he continues to shine the spotlight on other talented artists who have made significant contributions to the genre.
