Ice Cube, the iconic rapper and owner of the Big 3 basketball league, has extended a warm invitation to NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal to join his league.
This invitation comes in response to recent speculation from Shaq about potentially playing in the Big 3, a league known for showcasing basketball legends.
Taking to his social media platform, Ice Cube expressed his eagerness to welcome Shaq aboard, stating, “We got the contract ready for you, big fella. You got three months to get Diesel. You can eat all day in @thebig3 @SHAQ.”
In a conversation on his Big podcast with former Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers, Shaq openly deliberated on the idea of making a return to the court, though he appeared somewhat hesitant.
Addressing Chalmers, Shaq queried, “You think I can play in the Big 3?”
Chalmers, currently a player in the Big 3 league, responded confidently, “Yeah, easily. I got the perfect spot for you too. Come over there with me and Mike Beasley. You ain’t gotta do nothing but stay in the paint.”
Expressing his reservations, Shaq admitted, “You really think I could play? I thought about it. I just had hip surgery and I ain’t played since. I don’t think I can get back in that mood.”
Ice Cube’s invitation to Shaquille O’Neal to join the Big 3 league has stirred excitement among basketball fans, eagerly anticipating the potential reunion of these two legends on the court. With the contract ready and anticipation building, the basketball world awaits Shaq’s decision.
