Stanislav Yanevski, best known for his role as Viktor Krum in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, has revealed he was rushed to the hospital shortly after his 39th birthday due to a sudden and frightening health scare… he lost the ability to breathe.
The actor took to Instagram on Friday to update fans, sharing a striking photo from his hospital bed, complete with a visible nose bandage and heartfelt message.
“Right after my birthday, I was admitted to the hospital because I couldn’t breathe,” Yanevski wrote. “I had to undergo surgery, and this picture was taken just after I came out of the operating room. As always, I kept it quiet — I didn’t want to cause worry or fear.”
Yanevski said he had been struggling to breathe for months before finally seeking treatment. He’s now in recovery and hopeful that he’ll soon regain his full ability to smell and sleep comfortably again.
“I’m looking forward to enjoying the full scents of life,” he added. “For now, I still have some pieces in my nose, so talking freely is difficult… but I’m on the road to full recovery.”
Fans quickly flooded his post with messages of support and love.
