A Georgia teen who once used TikTok to raise awareness about the tragic deaths of her mother and stepfather is now at the center of a shocking double murder case.
17-year-old Sarah Grace Patrick surrendered to authorities on July 8, months after allegedly fatally shooting her mother, Kristin Brock, 41, and stepfather, James Brock, 45, in their Carroll County home on February 20, according to a statement from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
The teen had been active on social media following the deaths, even commenting on true crime TikToks about the case using her now-deleted handle, @sgrace04282. Screenshots shared by crime content creator AllegedlyReportedly revealed that Patrick expressed thanks for “spreading awareness” and hinted that the killer was likely someone familiar with the home.
Authorities say Patrick was the one who made the 911 call on the night of the murders. Both victims were found with fatal gunshot wounds. Carroll County Communications Director Ashley Hulsey confirmed during a press briefing that Patrick will be charged as an adult, facing two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
“We have mountains of evidence,” Hulsey stated, though she didn’t go into further detail. She also revealed that Patrick had lived in various households over the years and wasn’t in a stable living situation.
“The most heartbreaking part of this case,” Hulsey added, “is the Brock’s toddler, who is now left without parents.”
The FBI and Georgia Bureau of Investigation were both involved in the ongoing investigation.
