In an interview with The Guardian, George Clooney revealed why he once turned down a $35 million payday.
“I was offered $35 million for one day’s work for an airline commercial,” Clooney said.
The gig was for an airline commercial that Clooney found himself hesitant to do. So he decided to talk with his wife, an esteemed human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney.
Clooney said the decision came down to this:
“We decided it’s not worth it,” he explained. “It was associated with a country that, although it’s an ally, is questionable at times, and so I thought: ‘Well if it takes a minute’s sleep away from me, it’s not worth it.”
It should come as no surprise that Clooney is well-off due to his filming and tequila industries.
