In recent developments, rapper Future has reached a resolution in his child support battle with his ex-girlfriend, Brittni Mealy. The court proceedings exposed his monthly income, leading to an adjustment in the support payments for their 10-year-old son, Prince.
Last November, Mealy filed a lawsuit seeking an increase in the $3,000 monthly child support payments that Future had been making for their child. She argued that there had been a significant change in Future’s income since their initial agreement was established in 2014, as well as an increase in their child’s needs over the years.
One of the factors mentioned in the suit was Future’s alleged failure to exercise his scheduled parenting time, resulting in Mealy bearing additional expenses for Prince’s upbringing. Furthermore, she accused him of neglecting to maintain dental insurance, claiming that he was in willful contempt of their agreement.
Recently, court documents revealed that Future’s monthly income amounts to approximately $30,000, while Mealy earns around $14,000 per month. Following a careful examination of the evidence, the judge concurred with Mealy’s assessment and acknowledged the substantial change in Future’s financial status.
As a result, Future will now be required to pay $5,000 per month in child support to Mealy to meet their child’s needs adequately.
