Sly Stone, the visionary leader of the legendary group Sly and the Family Stone has passed away at the age of 82, as confirmed by his longtime manager Arlene Hirschkowitz.
The groundbreaking funk innovator died peacefully following an extended struggle with COPD and other health complications, according to a heartfelt family statement. “While we deeply grieve his loss, we find comfort in knowing his music will live on forever,” the statement reads.
