Foxy Brown is putting an end to long-standing rumors that she had a sexual relationship with JAY-Z while underage, vehemently denying the claims through a series of social media posts.
The legendary rapper took to her platform to shut down the speculation, also dismissing the rumor that she signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the Roc Nation mogul to stay quiet about the alleged affair.
Responding to a viral post on X (formerly known as Twitter), which reignited the unsubstantiated claims, Foxy fired back: “In icon business! Miss me wit tha fake news[.] NDA? Ain’t a MF alive that could stop my story. NDA on my sh*t gon run 100 mil.”
She followed up with another post saying: “Stop playin’ wit me name, dyin’ for a comment! Can’t spin me with the sucker sh*t to take Hov down. Betta ask ‘bout tha cloth I’m cut from.” Brown continued to express her frustration over people attempting to pit her against JAY-Z, adding: “Y’all want me to be anti-Hov so bad.”
These rumors of an inappropriate relationship between the two former Def Jam labelmates trace back to a line from Nas’ infamous diss track “Ether.” The 2001 track took aim at JAY-Z, with Nas rapping: “Foxy got you hot ’cause you kept your face in her puss / What you think, you getting girls now ’cause of your looks?”
Further gossip over the years suggested Foxy lost her virginity to JAY-Z and contracted an STD, but the “Ill Na Na” rapper previously shot down these allegations.
In a statement to TMZ, Foxy said: “The atrociousness of this story sickened me to my stomach. Any and everyone involved will be contacted by my attorney.”
She continued, “In all my years in the music industry, these are the most disgusting and disrespectful allegations I’ve ever experienced. This fictitious story … with NO audio, visual or written interview, clearly was concocted with malicious intent.”
Foxy also praised JAY-Z, emphasizing their close bond: “Jay has only been wonderful to me and my family, a great friend throughout all the years I’ve known him and we had nothing but great success as a team. The disrespect will not be tolerated.”
By setting the record straight, Foxy Brown is making it clear that she won’t let false rumors tarnish her legacy or her long-standing relationship with JAY-Z.
