In a gracious response to Nicki Minaj surpassing one of her longstanding chart achievements, Foxy Brown, a significant influence on Minaj, expressed her excitement on Instagram.
On December 17, Brown took to her Instagram Story to share her joy about Minaj achieving her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Pink Friday 2. This remarkable feat now places Minaj as the female rapper with the most No. 1 albums, surpassing Foxy’s previous record of two (1997’s The Firm: The Album, a collaboration with Nas, AZ, and Nature; and 1999’s Chyna Doll).
“Umm sir! Only Nic could break the king’s record,” Foxy conveyed, hinting at a potential comeback: “3rd #1 record dropping 2024.”
Notably, in December 2005, Brown disclosed a significant deterioration in her hearing and has not released a full-length album since 2001’s Broken Silence.

Expressing her admiration, Brown affectionately referred to Nicki as her “twin.”
“Hella proud,” she shared. “26 years is crazy, though. Y’all mean to tell me no one broke that record in my absence! Took the twin to set the bar again!”
This genuine response showcases Foxy Brown’s support for Nicki Minaj’s accomplishments while teasing the possibility of her own return to the music scene.
