Floyd Mayweather will be fighting in Dubai on an almost 700-foot-high helipad ring.
Mayweather has been retired for quite some time but has been boxing in exhibition bouts in Japan and Miami. He is now scheduled to fight in Dubai on May 21 to face Don Moore in this specially designed boxing ring built in Dubai that is almost 700 feet from ground level.
The fight will be in front of 20 people, not the usual thousands that Mayweather typically has due to where it is being held.
You might be asking yourself, what building is the helipad on? The helipad is located on the Burj AL Arab, which opened for business in 1999. The Burj AL Arab is considered one of the tallest hotels in the world.
The Burj AL Arab hotel is 1,053 feet tall and is built on an artificial island just off Dubai’s coastline.
Will Mayweather’s body holdup at those heights? Is he afraid of heights? Will his breathing cause him some problems, or is it just something for show, like the WWE wrestling matches? I guess we will have to wait and see.
