A shocking case of medical fraud has rocked Florida after a woman posing as a nurse treated thousands of patients without ever holding a valid license.
Authorities arrested Autumn Bardisa this week after uncovering her months-long scheme, during which she allegedly cared for over 4,486 patients between June 2024 and January 2025… all without proper credentials.
The scandal came to light when Bardisa applied for a charge nurse position at a Florida hospital. During a routine background check, officials discovered her nursing qualifications had expired and she only held a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license that was no longer valid.
Further investigation revealed Bardisa had continued working, accepting payments, and using fraudulent identification to perform duties far beyond her legal scope.
She was arrested at her Palm Coast residence on Wednesday, now facing seven felony charges for unauthorized medical practice and seven more counts for the fraudulent use of personal identification… each charge tied to a month of her alleged impersonation.
