Fat Joe is giving Kendrick Lamar his flowers… and then some. During a recent episode of his new podcast Joe and Jada, the Bronx rap legend spoke candidly about Kendrick’s massive presence on Los Angeles radio amid his explosive feud with Drake.
According to Joe, he’s never seen a West Coast artist take over like Kendrick has in recent months.
“I was just out in L.A. last week, and man, Kendrick is everywhere,” Joe said. “Every station, every few minutes… you’re hearing ‘Not Like Us,’ ‘Euphoria’… all of it. It’s wild.”
He continued: “I’ve never seen this kind of radio dominance. Not even Snoop in his prime, not even Pac. Kendrick is running the city. If you’re in L.A. right now, it feels like Kendrick is the only rapper that exists.”
Fat Joe’s bold statement shines a light on the magnitude of Kendrick’s cultural moment, especially following his headline-grabbing lyrical battle with Drake, which has sparked viral debates and chart-topping records.
