In a devastating turn of events, Devontae Beach, the manager of rapper EST Gee, was tragically shot and killed following a hometown concert in Louisville. The 31-year-old was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle near the KFC Yum! Center, as reported by WLKY.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, July 21, when a concerned citizen alerted the Louisville Metro Police Department to the shooting. Authorities arrived at the scene around 1:30 a.m., where Beach was pronounced dead shortly after by medical personnel.
Currently, there are no identified suspects, and it remains unclear if Beach was the intended target of this violent act.
EST Gee, yet to publicly address the heartbreaking news, performed at the Summer Jam event alongside prominent artists such as Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, Yo Gotti, and Icewear Vezzo. Despite heightened security measures at the concert venue, concerns about safety persist.
This tragic incident follows the arrest of EST Gee’s former manager, Eric Mosley, by the FBI on drug trafficking charges. Mosley and others associated with the CMG rapper have been linked to the alleged gang Everybody Shine Together, which is under scrutiny for alleged involvement in criminal activities including violence and drug trafficking.
