Eminem has offered a cool response after Kid Rock mentioned him in a new pro-Trump video. The “All Summer Long” star shared a clip on Instagram strumming his acoustic guitar before addressing his longtime friend and fellow Detroit native.
“Now that I have your attention, let me tell you, I love Eminem,” Kid Rock said. “We’ve been friends for many years. While I don’t agree with his politics, I respect him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up for what they believe.”
He went on, “Our ability to think differently is what makes this country great. I’m 100% for MAGA because I believe in my mind, body, and soul that Trump will make America great again. God bless the USA.”
Eminem, a vocal critic of Donald Trump since the 2016 election, showed no hard feelings in his response. Instead, he focused on their shared Detroit roots, specifically their love of the NFL’s Detroit Lions.
He took to X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Here’s one thing @KidRock and I do agree on… GO @Lions!!!! Appreciate you, Bob,” using Kid Rock’s given name in a friendly gesture.
With politics aside, both stars found common ground in hometown pride.
