Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk is once again stirring political waters… this time with a Quentin Tarantino twist. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has taken aim at President Donald Trump’s proposed “Big Beautiful Bill,” a sweeping tax cut and spending plan currently under Senate review, by invoking the iconic revenge thriller Kill Bill.
On Wednesday, Musk rallied his 220 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) with a fiery message: “Call your Senator, Call your Congressman, Bankrupting America is NOT ok! KILL the BILL.” To drive the point home, he posted an image of the legendary Kill Bill movie poster, featuring Uma Thurman’s vengeful character “The Bride,” armed and ready for battle.
Musk’s public campaign marks a sharp split from Trump, whose administration once counted Musk among its unpaid special government employees. Despite backing Trump with over $250 million during the last election cycle, Musk is now calling Trump’s flagship legislation a “disgusting abomination” loaded with “outrageous pork.”
Just a day earlier, Musk slammed the bill, warning that it would drive the national debt into dangerous territory. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates the legislation would add trillions to the federal deficit.
Having full control of one of the most powerful social media platforms, along with virtually unlimited resources, Musk poses a serious challenge to any lawmaker who defies his public plea. He didn’t mince words Tuesday when he tweeted: “In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people.”
Even House Speaker Mike Johnson is feeling the frost. The GOP leader said Musk has stopped returning his calls and texts. “I called Elon last night and he didn’t answer,” Johnson admitted. “But we’ve laughed about our differences before.”
Despite the cool-down in communication, Musk’s message is red-hot… and it’s igniting political conversations nationwide.
