On Saturday (July 6), a viral video emerged showing E-40 being misidentified as another well-known rapper, Fat Joe, by a so-called comedian during what appeared to be a convention.
In the clip, the comedian approaches E-40, camera in hand, and exclaims, “I knew that was you, bro. Fat Joe! Fat Joe, bro! You ain’t Fat Joe?” E-40, visibly perplexed, responds, “No. You calling me Fat Joe? You a comedian. … You know that’s childish, right? Come on, man. When were you born? 2024? Get the f*ck outta here, man. That’s childish. Do your homework.”
With that, E-40 walks off, leaving the comedian to awkwardly explain the mishap to a bystander.
The incident quickly gained traction online, catching the attention of none other than Fat Joe himself. The Bronx rapper chimed in on The Hip Hop Wolf’s Instagram post, commenting, “F*ck these clout chasers. E-40 a man of respect,” a sentiment that resonated with many, garnering hundreds of likes.
