Drake has once again captivated the internet with his unconventional fashion statement, this time at the kick-off of his joint tour with J. Cole.
On the inaugural night of the “It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour” at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, Drizzy took the stage donning an eye-catching outfit that resembled a dinosaur spine.
The unexpected wardrobe choice sparked a flurry of reactions across various online platforms.
Commenting on a Complex post featuring the performance, one observer quipped, “These stylists be in group chats like ‘watch what I put on this fool tonight.'” Another individual humorously questioned, “Why is Drake wearing a velociraptor spinal cord?”
A third social media user chimed in, saying, “This is what happens when you surround yourself with people who don’t tell you ‘no.'”
After the show, Drake took to his Instagram Stories, sharing an image of Japanese artist Shimoda Masakatsu wearing a similar item. The post hinted at Masakatsu being the creative mind behind the costume.
Known for his dinosaur head and skeleton pieces, Masakatsu has collaborated with Comme des Garçons on various occasions.
Masakatsu further acknowledged Drake’s choice by posting an Instagram update featuring the rapper in the distinctive outfit. In the caption, written in Japanese, he exclaimed, “How cool is this?” The artist also shared another image from the concert, cementing the collaboration’s spotlight on social media.
