In a recent interview on Bobbi Althoff’s The Really Good Podcast, Drake discussed his thoughts on marriage and what he’s looking for in a partner.
While marriage may not be in the cards for Drake at the moment, he hasn’t ruled it out completely. He expressed that marriage sometimes feels like a tradition from ancient times, but he does see the possibility of settling down eventually. However, he wants to make sure he can meet his future partner’s expectations before taking that step.
Drake explained that he’s hesitant about marriage because he doesn’t want to let someone down, and he emphasized that he doesn’t follow traditional norms like the Amish community does. When the time comes to tie the knot, Drake mentioned that he would likely choose someone outside the fame circle, as he finds non-famous individuals more intriguing.
“I don’t know. It seems like a thing of, like, ancient times or something. I think I will eventually. I don’t know, I don’t think I can offer somebody what they’d be looking for. I don’t wanna get married ’cause I just don’t wanna disappoint someone, and I’m not like, Amish, Drake said.”
“I like somebody that’s, like, their own,” Drake added. “They’re not just not like a carbon copy, like a person that I’ve seen a bunch of times throughout my existence. I like somebody with a sense of humor, you know? I like — I don’t know, like, cosplay.”
What attracts Drake the most is an independent and unique personality. He appreciates someone who stands out and has their own identity rather than being a mere copy of others. A sense of humor is also a significant factor for him, and he admires those who embrace hobbies like cosplay.
While Drake may not be ready for marriage now, he remains open to finding that special someone who aligns with his values and aspirations. As he focuses on other priorities, he believes that when the right person comes along, he’ll know it’s time to take that next step in his life.
