The dispute arose after Drake shared snippets of unreleased music on his Instagram Stories on Thursday (August 8), prompting a swift response from the platform.
Instagram notified Drake of the violation, citing UMG as the complainant. However, the specific tracks that led to the violation remain undisclosed. This incident follows Drake’s surprise release of a massive collection of old songs, videos, and even design concepts for his private jet earlier this week, causing a stir among fans.
The collection, totaling 100 gigabytes, was made available on a website called 100gigs.org and promoted through his newly-created Instagram page, @plottttwistttttt.
