DJ Quik Opens Up About His Discovery of a Third Child

West Coast music icon DJ Quik recently took to social media to share a deeply personal revelation. In an earnest post on Facebook, he unveiled that he has discovered he is a father to a third child, whose existence was unknown to him until after her birth.

On the past Wednesday, DJ Quik, already a father to a son named David Blake, Jr., and a daughter named Davieanna Marlena Blake, opened up about this unexpected development. In a heartfelt message, he revealed that he has connected with his newfound daughter, Alcinina Simone, and expressed the emotions of becoming a part of her life for the very first time.

The celebrated artist’s post began with a candid reflection, “I wanted to take a moment to address something that’s been on my mind lately,” DJ Quik began. “I wasn’t going to say anything publicly, but I believe in transparency and honesty. It’s true—I not only have two kids, but I also have three beautiful children.”

He delved into the meaningful dialogue he recently had with his daughter, Alcinina, discussing past struggles and her feelings of abandonment. He acknowledged the gravity of the conversation, stating, “Recently, I had a deep conversation with my daughter, Alcinina, about the past and the feelings of abandonment she experienced. It was a tough conversation, but we talked it out, and I want to make it clear that I love all of my kids deeply.”

Acknowledging his past mistakes as a father, DJ Quik assumed full responsibility for them, asserting, “I understand that as a father, I have made mistakes in the past, and for that, I take full responsibility. It was difficult for me to learn that I had a child whose existence I wasn’t aware of due to her mother not informing me about the pregnancy.
