DJ Khaled, known for his sense of humor, recently caused a stir among several Hip Hop peers with a viral video that seemingly captured a fake DJ Khaled twerking in a swimming pool. The unexpected footage has garnered attention from the likes of Rick Ross, Wack 100, and others, sparking both amusement and astonishment within the industry.
In a Saturday (May 20) clip shared on Akademiks’ Instagram page, DJ Khaled can be seen diving into an outdoor pool and gracefully swimming underwater to the tune of Danny Towers, DJ Scheme, Ski Mask the Slump God, and Luh Tyler’s “Florida Water.”
The video then smoothly transitions to a mysterious overweight individual with a similar physique to Khaled’s, engaging in underwater twerking while keeping their face hidden. While the video’s origin remains unknown, it is evident that the twerking enthusiast is not the “God Did” hitmaker himself.
Nevertheless, the video’s release ignited a flurry of reactions, flooding the comments section with savage remarks. Several rappers expressed their disbelief and opinions about the footage. Outraged by the unexpected display, Wack 100 exclaimed, “WTF DID I JUST SEE. NAW MAN, THE WORLD IS CHANGING. THIS ISN’T WHAT WE DO… JUST ASK THE COMMUNITY.” On the other hand, Rick Ross found humor in the situation, simply commenting, “Haaa.”
Waka Flocka Flame, adding to the conversation, jokingly stated, “Unfollowing buddy right now [laughing face emojis].” Luh Tyler, the artist whose song accompanies the video, also chimed in with amusement, writing, “Cuhhhh [laughing face emojis].”
Although DJ Khaled may not engage in twerking in anyone’s pool anytime soon, this isn’t the first time he has grabbed headlines for a booty-shaking video.
