Dame Dash has responded to 50 Cent’s recent claims about his financial status, showing off his hefty six-figure child support payments as proof that he’s far from broke.
In a detailed interview on his America Nu Network on Thursday (September 5), the Roc-A-Fella co-founder addressed 50’s jab about his finances. Dash didn’t hold back, taking aim at 50 Cent’s habit of criticizing fellow Hip Hop figures like Irv Gotti, accusing him of “doing the work” for those outside the culture.
Dame challenged 50 Cent to focus on collaboration instead of competition, especially within the TV industry, encouraging him to uplift others rather than tear them down.
He then directly addressed 50 Cent’s remarks on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, where the G-Unit boss claimed Dame “has no money.” Dame didn’t just brush off the comment; he brought receipts.
“If someone’s making $250,000 a year, would you call them broke?” Dash asked, pointing to the amount he has paid annually in child support since 2007. “My child support, along with school and camp fees, totals $250,000 a year — that’s what my kids get. And of course, that’s what someone ‘broke’ would do,” he added with a hint of sarcasm.
Dame also emphasized that he’s covered his children’s college tuition upfront, ensuring they graduate without debt. “When they take your child support, it’s based on how much you were earning at the time. Despite recessions, pandemics, and my tax issues, my kids still get $250,000 annually,” Dash said, making it clear that his financial priorities have always been his family.
He further explained that even during rough business years, he’s never sought a reduction in child support, saying: “When things go bad, you have to go to court and say, ‘Look, I’m not having such a good year. I need a downward modification.’ I’ve never had the luxury of a downward modification because I never wanted my children to be affected by how reckless I might be in business.”
