Dame Dash is firing back at 50 Cent after the rapper teased him about his financial struggles. In a bold move, the Roc-A-Fella co-founder has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging 50 to a “CEO war” between their television networks, America Nu and 50 Cent Action.
On Wednesday (September 4), Dash took to Instagram to address the jab, confidently calling for a business showdown. “Somebody sent me that cute comment 50 made about me being broke,” Dash began in his video.
“Because of that, I think me and 50 should have a battle. But not on some gangster stuff — I’m 53, that’d be corny for the culture. Let’s do it CEO-style.”
Dash’s challenge comes from a place of competitive spirit rather than animosity. He wants 50 Cent to prove his power by launching his television network on the spot.
“You should be able to do that because you’ve got the resources, you’ve got the money, and because I’m ‘broke,’ this should be easy work for you,” Dash quipped.
The Harlem native didn’t stop there. He upped the ante by suggesting they each release an original film on their networks and let the fans decide whose work reigns supreme.
Dash already has his entry lined up: The Prince of Detroit on America Nu. “You should have yours ready, you’re a CEO, right?” Dash taunted. “But I bet you’re not ready.”
Dame also dared 50 Cent to put his money where his mouth is by buying Dash’s one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella Records, which is set to be auctioned later this month. Dash threw in the final jab, saying: “I need you to show up for this battle, 50.”
The challenge is now in 50 Cent’s court, and fans are eager to see if the G-Unit mogul will rise to the occasion.
