Courtney Kramer, the Republican contender for Fulton County District Attorney in Georgia, has made a bold promise to terminate the ongoing YSL RICO trial involving Young Thug if she wins the upcoming election.
In a statement released by her campaign on Friday (August 16), Kramer expressed her deep concerns over the prolonged case, criticizing the current handling of the trial.
Kramer voiced her frustration, stating, “The lack of justice in this case is alarming. The trial has dragged on without any resolution, largely due to poor prosecutorial oversight.
The attorneys involved have been repeatedly reprimanded for their inadequate trial preparation, turning this case into a colossal waste of the court’s time.”
She further criticized the prosecutors, highlighting recent comments from Judge Paige Reese Whitaker, who condemned them for failing to disclose exculpatory evidence—a fundamental duty in the courtroom.
Kramer argued that the case was more about gaining fame for District Attorney Fani Willis than delivering justice, adding that the prosecution has relied heavily on witnesses with questionable credibility, leading to a significant drain on taxpayer dollars.
“If elected as the next District Attorney of Fulton County, I will end this prosecution immediately,” Kramer declared. “I challenge my opponent to do the right thing and release those accused who are being held without bond.”
As of now, neither Willis nor representatives for Young Thug have responded to requests for comment.
This pledge by Kramer could significantly impact the ongoing legal battle and has sparked a wave of discussion and debate across the community.
