In a recent incident, Tiffany Haddish, the 43-year-old comedian, was arrested for the second time in two years, this time on charges of driving under the influence.
According to TMZ, the arrest took place in Beverly Hills around 5:45 a.m. PT, where Haddish was reportedly found stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive, seemingly asleep with her car still running. Law enforcement officers, responding to a call about Haddish’s vehicle, arrested her on suspicion of DUI.
Prior to her arrest, Haddish had performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, delivering a special Thanksgiving set for the club’s 42nd annual community feast, where free food was provided for locals.
Following the performance, Haddish celebrated, sharing Instagram footage of herself dancing on Thanksgiving. In one particular clip, she humorously expressed her desire to attend the Habesha party in Inglewood, embracing her East African roots. Haddish playfully recounted previous party experiences and amusingly lamented being denied entry into the club.
This is not the first time Haddish has faced DUI charges. In January 2022, she was arrested in Atlanta under similar circumstances, with officers responding to a report of someone sleeping behind the wheel. Haddish faces charges of DUI and improper stopping on a roadway and is expected to appear in court on December 4.
This incident marks the second DUI arrest for the comedian within a span of two years, raising concerns about her legal situation and the potential consequences she may face. It also brings attention to the need for responsible behavior, especially given the previous incident in Atlanta. Haddish’s upcoming court appearance on December 4 will shed more light on the legal proceedings and the outcome of the charges she is facing.
