Two women accused in the brutal downtown Cincinnati attack that went viral on July 26 are now walking free after a judge slashed their bond amounts… while police are still chasing down an eighth suspect tied to the shocking case.
The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that 24-year-old DeKyra Vernon and 25-year-old Aisha Devaughn were released from jail Friday. Both had been held on steep bonds, but during Thursday’s arraignment, Vernon’s bond was dropped from $250,000 to just $25,000 at 10%, and Devaughn’s was cut from $300,000 to $25,000 at 10%.
The two face multiple charges, including three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault, and two counts of aggravated rioting.
Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD) is urging the public to help track down an eighth suspect who has not yet been captured. The department said the violent brawl happened near 4th Street and Elm and quickly gained national attention after footage of the attack spread across social media.
“Central Business Section is investigating a Felonious Assault offense that occurred on July 26, 2025,” CPD wrote on X, formerly Twitter. However, officials have not disclosed exactly how the missing suspect participated in the incident.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact CPD Detective Blank.
