NBA legend Chris Paul just got hit with a major shocker… the Los Angeles Clippers have officially parted ways with the 12-time All-Star, sending him home in the middle of the team’s road trip.
Paul broke the news himself overnight, posting on Instagram that he had “just found out I’m being sent home” while in Atlanta ahead of Wednesday’s matchup against the Hawks. The peace-sign emoji said it all… a quiet goodbye no one saw coming.
Clippers president Lawrence Frank later confirmed the move, telling ESPN the franchise is “moving forward” without the 40-year-old veteran and will work with him on whatever comes next in his career.
The Clippers are struggling with only 5 wins in 21 games, but the sudden decision blindsiding one of the game’s most respected point guards has fans and analysts calling it “cold,” “classless,” and “not how a future Hall of Famer should go out.”
Even though CP3 isn’t putting up prime-era numbers, many believe he’s earned a far more respectful exit than an abrupt mid-season send-off.
