Breaking News: Young Lo, Chris Brown’s collaborator, was reportedly shot and killed outside a Miami nightclub.
According to CBS, the rapper, whose real name is Lowell Grissom, was shot while winding down at Miami’s Gala Club around 4 a.m. ET on Monday (May 8). He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, but unfortunately, he died. The incident has been deemed as a targeted attack.
Young Lo was a prominent figure in the music industry and served as an A&R for Hitmaka’s MakaSound label. He has collaborated with numerous artists, including Chris Brown. After his death, many artists flooded his recent Instagram post with condolences and heartfelt messages.
The incident occurred after a busy weekend in South Beach, which hosted the F1 2023 Miami Grand Prix on Sunday (May 7). Young Lo leaves behind a six-year-old son, and no arrests have been made in the case as of yet. Chris Brown posted a tribute to his Instagram Story, expressing his love and condolences for his “brother.” The Gala nightclub also expressed shock and sadness over the tragic event.
