Cardi B is making it crystal clear—her breakup with Offset is 100% real, and she’s not here for the rumors suggesting otherwise. The Bronx rapper addressed the growing speculation during a recent social media live session, calling out those who think her split is nothing more than a PR move.
Speculation about the breakup being staged kicked off when fans learned that despite the separation, Cardi and Offset are still living under the same roof.
But the “Bodak Yellow” star was quick to set the record straight, stating that a fake breakup would hurt Offset’s career—something she’d never allow, as it would negatively impact her family too.
“Y’all really think my baby daddy is going to be like, ‘Yeah, let’s mess up my career for a publicity stunt?’” Cardi questioned in her fiery response. “No. Be real about yourselves.”
She went on to explain how their financial responsibilities, especially for their children, make any notion of staging a breakup ridiculous. “I don’t want to damage my baby father’s career,” Cardi emphasized.
“I’ve got a nanny that costs $700 an hour—do the math. My kids’ school is $45,000 a year, and I’ve got two of them in school. You think I’m paying that all alone? Absolutely not.”
The Grammy-winning artist also called out the double standard surrounding her split. Cardi pointed out how Offset’s past cheating allegations were never questioned as PR stunts, yet when she makes a move to protect her peace, the breakup is suddenly labeled as fake.
“When I separate from my baby father, it’s a publicity stunt? But when y’all were clowning me about his cheating rumors, that wasn’t for PR?” Cardi clapped back. “Y’all are just mad that you can’t throw his mistakes in my face anymore. That’s the real issue.”
Cardi’s bold response comes as a reminder that her focus is on her family and her career, and she won’t tolerate baseless rumors. While she may have parted ways with Offset, her dedication to their children and her own success remains stronger than ever.
