Cardi B is gearing up to take legal action against the LAPD after a distressing incident at her residence earlier this month.
The rapper recounted the ordeal during an Instagram Live session on Monday, March 25, stating that she was forced to disrobe by law enforcement officers who mistakenly accused her of involvement in drug-related activities.
In a candid revelation, Cardi B described the intense situation, revealing how she felt besieged by the swarm of helicopters hovering over Los Angeles.
“They had me outside for like three hours. They had me getting butt-naked outside. Sh*t was crazy,” she expressed, likening the experience to a scene from a movie.
Expressing her intent to pursue legal recourse against the LAPD, Cardi B asserted her innocence, highlighting her celebrity status to the officers.
“I told them like, ‘Yo, I’m Cardi B. Like do I look like I gotta sell some sh*t? Like why would I do that? I would never pull no sh*t like that,'” she declared.
However, her attempts to clarify her identity were met with skepticism by the officers, whom she described as predominantly white.
Feeling unfairly targeted and mistreated, Cardi B speculated that someone may have maliciously tipped off law enforcement, possibly motivated by personal animosity.
“They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and sh*t, like they really trying to ruin my life type sh*t,” she lamented.
Despite the gravity of her words, Cardi B briefly shifted gears, injecting a note of levity into the conversation before expressing gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support of her latest single.
