Bun B, part of the iconic UGK duo, is committed to ensuring the lasting celebration and remembrance of his late partner in rhyme, Pimp C. Recently, he took to his Instagram page on January 5 to address an issue that deeply concerned him.
While not explicitly naming the source of what he deemed disrespectful remarks against the late UGK legend, it’s evident that Bun B, also the CEO of Trill Burgers, is not willing to tolerate it.
In his Instagram post, Bun B urged, “Please let Chad rest in peace,” he wrote, referring to Pimp C’s real name, Chad Butler. “Y’all doing way too much out here right now. Leave that man’s hard-earned and well-deserved legacy the fuck alone.”
Although Bun B did not explicitly mention the specific incident, some speculate that he might be responding to recent comments made by music executive Greg Taylor during an interview with The Art of Dialogue on January 2. Taylor disclosed that Pimp C had reservations about participating in the notable JAY-Z track, “Big Pimpin’.”
Bun B’s strong words emphasize the importance of respecting Pimp C’s legacy and acknowledging the contributions he made to the culture.
As the online discussions continue, it’s clear that Bun B is unwavering in his dedication to protecting the honor and memory of his late partner, urging everyone to refrain from tarnishing the well-deserved legacy that Pimp C worked hard to establish.
