In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, which wreaked havoc as a Category 1 storm, UGK legend Bun B stepped up to support his community in Houston. The hurricane struck the city earlier this week, causing widespread power outages and damage across the region.
On Thursday, July 11, Bun B, known not only for his music but also for his community spirit, set up a stall at One Church at Bethel’s Family. There, he distributed over 500 smashburgers from his Trill Burgers establishment.
That same day, his team continued their efforts at a Kroger location on E. Sam Houston Parkway, ensuring that those affected by the storm received hot meals.
Despite having to temporarily close his restaurant due to the severe weather conditions, Bun B’s dedication to his hometown didn’t waver.
He took it upon himself to provide much-needed sustenance to Houstonians as they began to recover from the storm’s impact.
The generosity didn’t stop there. On Saturday, July 13, Trill Burgers partnered with Levi’s to give away an additional 713 burgers in honor of Houston’s original area code, 713.
This brought the total number of burgers distributed to over 1,700, showcasing Bun B’s unwavering commitment to his community.
