Shedeur Sanders, the Cleveland Browns’ promising new quarterback and son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, was pulled over early Tuesday morning for allegedly speeding at 101 mph, police reports reveal.
The incident occurred just after midnight on Interstate 71 near Strongsville, Ohio. Authorities say Sanders was behind the wheel of a powerful Dodge TRX truck, zipping through a 60 mph zone when a Strongsville Police Department officer clocked his speed and initiated the stop.
At just 23 years old, the rookie QB now faces a fourth-degree misdemeanor charge. Under Ohio law, Sanders can either pay a fine or challenge the citation in court, with a hearing expected in early July.
No injuries or other violations were reported, and the Browns have not yet released a statement regarding the incident..
