Rapper Boosie Badazz is advocating for serious change following a tragic school shooting in Georgia that left multiple victims. The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 4, at Apalachee High School, where 18-year-old student Colt Gray allegedly brought an AR-style rifle into the building, killing two 14-year-old students and two teachers. Nine additional individuals were injured, though they are expected to recover.
Taking to social media the next day, Boosie voiced his frustration over the lack of adequate protection in schools and called for the implementation of a controversial solution—armed snipers in every school across the country.
Using his platform on X (formerly Twitter), Boosie stated, “The next president needs to make a law that puts four armed snipers in every school to protect our children. Every year, billions of dollars get wasted. Why can’t some of that money be spent on protecting our kids?”
He also highlighted how America invests heavily in safeguarding sports arenas, casinos, and entertainment venues but seems to fall short when it comes to protecting children.
The rapper, clearly emotional over the tragic event, mentioned his concerns for his own family: “Calling my baby mamas, I’m thinking about homeschooling.”
Boosie’s passionate plea has sparked debate across social media, with many echoing his call for heightened school security, while others expressed concerns over the idea of armed personnel in educational settings.
The Georgia school shooting has once again ignited conversations about gun control and the safety of students, with figures like Boosie Badazz bringing attention to the growing demand for more proactive measures.
