Boosie Badazz recently shared a heartfelt moment on Instagram, expressing his enduring appreciation for fellow rapper Jeezy. During a performance at the “GRAMMY Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop” concert in Los Angeles, Boosie reminisced about the support he received from Jeezy while he was incarcerated. The Baton Rouge native revealed that Jeezy not only provided him with financial assistance but also extended a helping hand to his mother.
In a social media clip capturing Boosie’s emotional reaction to Jeezy’s performance, the rapper recounted the time when Jeezy, without hesitation, gave him $20,000 while he was in jail. Boosie expressed his deep gratitude, emphasizing that Jeezy’s support went beyond just words. “That’s my boy! He gave me $20,000 in jail — I’ll never forget it,” Boosie shared with enthusiasm. “He gave my mama $20,000 cash. Boy, that n***a helped.”
Boosie Badazz went on to emphasize the profound impact of Jeezy’s generosity, declaring himself a lifelong fan of the acclaimed rapper. “I’m a Jeezy fan for life. I was in jail, and he gave my mama $20,000. All blues! I’ll never forget,” Boosie declared. This isn’t the first time Boosie has lauded Jeezy for his unwavering support. In a 2014 interview with DJ Skee, Boosie credited Jeezy as the one who held him down the most during his incarceration.
During the interview, Boosie acknowledged that although he had connections with other artists like Yo Gotti and Webbie, it was Jeezy who played a pivotal role in supporting him through the challenging times. “Jeezy held me down the most,” Boosie stated. Despite having a lot going on, Boosie expressed that Jeezy’s assistance was crucial, allowing him to focus on rebuilding his life and transitioning back to the free world.
