Boosie Badazz recently expressed his discontent with the arrest of fellow rapper B.G. after their joint concert performance, which may lead to B.G. facing imprisonment once again.
The arrest stems from allegations that B.G. violated the terms of his probation by associating with other convicted felons, a condition he is prohibited from as part of his probationary terms.
Furthermore, another condition of B.G.’s release mandates obtaining written approval before engaging in self-employment endeavors.
This requirement was allegedly disregarded when B.G. collaborated with Gucci Mane on the album “Choppers & Bricks” in December, given Gucci Mane’s own felony conviction.
Boosie, who shared the stage with B.G. during a performance in Las Vegas on February 8, took to Instagram Live to voice his concerns over the treatment B.G. is facing from authorities.
Boosie highlighted B.G.’s recent release from prison in September after serving over a decade behind bars, emphasizing the unfairness of the situation.
Expressing solidarity with B.G., Boosie urged his followers and fans of rap music to rally behind B.G. and oppose the efforts to incarcerate him for his artistic endeavors.
He criticized the notion that B.G. should be barred from releasing music on platforms like Spotify and condemned the threat of imprisonment for simply doing his job.
Boosie underscored B.G.’s history of complying with probation requirements, including passing drug tests and fulfilling community service obligations.
He argued that B.G. is not merely an aspiring rapper but an established artist who has been in the industry since the age of 13.
In closing, Boosie expressed confusion and dismay over the legal proceedings in New Orleans, emphasizing the injustice of penalizing someone for pursuing their career.
He called for solidarity in opposing what he perceives as an unjust attempt to curtail B.G.’s artistic freedom and livelihood.
