A Delta Airlines flight headed to Minneapolis turned into a tense security scare Tuesday night at New York’s LaGuardia Airport… after officials were alerted to a possible bomb threat moments before departure.
According to Port Authority Police, the aircraft was preparing for takeoff around 8 PM when crew members received the alarming threat.
The pilot immediately halted the departure, the plane was isolated away from Terminal C, and everyone on board was ordered to leave the aircraft.
One passenger told reporters the pilot assured everyone there was no immediate danger… however, they noticed one person being escorted off the plane before everyone else was evacuated.
Emergency units then surrounded the jet while authorities carried out a rapid search of the cabin and cargo areas.
The all-clear wasn’t given until around 10 PM… with officials confirming nothing dangerous was found connected to the threat.
Fox TV host Jason Matheson… who was on board the flight… posted live reaction from the tarmac on Instagram, saying passengers were only told there was a “security issue” and that Delta wasn’t giving out details.
He said travelers still weren’t told what actually happened even after they were forced to go back through security.
The incident delayed the flight for hours and sparked major conversation online… further highlighting rising safety concerns across major U.S. airports in 2025.
