A BNSF Railway conductor was fatally struck by a moving train Sunday morning in Columbus, Montana, according to the NTSB.
Officials say the worker was between two trains… one parked and one moving… when the accident happened around 9:40 a.m. Local police, fire crews, and federal investigators responded.
The victim’s identity has not been released. The crash shut down a busy crossing in the town of 2,000 for hours. The cause remains under investigation.
