Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, co-founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF), may see an earlier release from prison following a significant development in his case.
According to a report by The Detroit News on February 28, there’s a possibility that Flenory could be out of prison as early as 2025, three years ahead of his recently reduced 20-year sentence. Originally sentenced to 30 years in 2008, this reduction comes as a beacon of hope for Flenory.
Brittany K. Barnett, the former crime boss’s attorney, successfully advocated for a reduction of 32 months from his sentence under Amendment 821 of the United States Criminal Code.
This amendment places emphasis on rehabilitation, recognizing Flenory’s progress since his conviction for large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering.
Flenory’s son, known as Lil Meech, expressed his excitement about the news on his Instagram Stories, resharing posts about his father’s potential early release.
This development marks a significant turn in Flenory’s legal journey, offering a glimpse of hope for his future beyond incarceration.
